Hi friends! How is everyone doing? I hope you all had lovely holidays. Happy New Year 2018! Now that the holidays are over, the long, cold winter is upon us. This is a dreaded time for many. I usually start feeling the winter blues in late February, but this year I've already started feeling them since mid December. Summer was very rainy and cool this year, so it feels like winter came quickly. Are any of you in the same winter blues boat? There are two choices we can take: we can let the winter blues set in, and be down for the next four months, or, we can choose to be happy regardless of the season. It may be dreary outside, but I'm not going to let that kill my vibe. After all, summer will be back before we know it. I'm choosing to be happy on purpose! I've been listening to a lot of mindfulness teachers on YouTube over the past few months, and I feel like they've really helped transform my thoughts. Here is a quote I really love from Michael A. Singer:
I'm choosing to be happy regardless the weather, and regardless of my circumstances. Paradise really is a state of mind.
