Happy New Year 2017!

Hi friends! I wanted to take the time to wish you all a very happy and blessed New Year 2017. I like to look back on everything I've accomplished in the past year before the New Year begins. In 2016, I accomplished my goal of getting a new job and purchasing a house with Simon. I also lost a bit more weight and got a little more toned. Although 2016 was not perfect, I've been extremely fortunate and feel very blessed.

My goals for 2017 are to work on remaining calm when I'm feeling overwhelmed at work or even at home. I feel as though I've worked really hard at controlling my anxiety in the past few years but there is always room for improvement!

What are you proud of for 2016, and what are your goals for 2017? Thanks for reading, and God bless! xo

NOTD: Mercedes by Julep

Hi friends! I hope you are all having a relaxing holiday season! I received "Mercedes" by Julep as a Christmas gift from my sister, and since I haven't painted my nails in so long, I was eager to try it. It's a stunning bronze color full of gorgeous silver flecks. "Mercedes" goes on super glossy and opaque. It's a great option if you're in the mood for a neutral color that will match with everything, but still want that extra wow factor.

Thanks for stopping by! xo

Shimmery Winter Eyes

Hi friends! Happy December! I decided to take some extra time to do my eye makeup this morning since it seems lately the only time I get to play with my eyeshadows is on the weekend. I start work very early in the morning so some days I only wear mascara, what a shame! Work has been crazy busy lately, and it felt great to have some "me" time today! I wanted to create a super shimmery, frosty winter look.

Products used:
-Urban Decay palette (I'm not sure if you can get this one anymore. I've had it forever and I don't remember the name of it!!) I used "Scratch", "Underground" and "Zero".
-Avon Eyeshadow single in "Light Golden Peach"
Essence Eyeshadow single in "Chill Out"

I first used the Avon shadow as a base, then layered on the Urban Decay shadows. I used just a little bit of the Essence shadow as a highlight under my brows and in the inner corners of my eyes.

Are you getting excited for the holidays? I've been slowly putting up more and more Christmas decorations in my house! The more the merrier, right?

Thanks for stopping by! xo
