MOTD: Beach Day!

Happy Saturday loves! I'm heading out for a beach day with my best friends today. I'm super excited to see my friend Farida, since I haven't seen her in ages! I wanted to share my beach makeup essentials with you. I like to wear a little bit of  makeup at the beach because I go mainly to relax and catch some rays. I don't know how to swim so if I do venture into the water, I never go in deep enough to get my face wet. That being said, I'm still wearing waterproof mascara just in case I get splashed by a wave (or a cheeky friend)! The main focus of my makeup is bronzer because hey, it's the beach after all! I didn't use any eyeshadow today; instead, I used setting powder all over my lids with bronzer in my crease.
 Products from top, clockwise:
-Rimmel London Stay Matte Long Lasting pressed powder in "01 Transparent"
-Rimmel London Natural Bronzer in "021 Sun Light"
-Lip Smacker FaveReds Starburst Strawberry lip balm
-L'Oréal Paris Waterproof Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara
-Maybelline New York Fit Me concealer in "10 Light"
-Avon Ultra Luxury Brow liner in "Light Golden Brown"
-Hard Candy Eyes The Limit eyeshadow primer
-Estee Lauder Matte Perfecting Primer

Hope you all have a great Saturday! Thanks for stopping by! xo

So Susan Universal Blush

Hello loves! I received this "Universal Blush" by So Susan ages ago in a Luxebox. I thought it was a really neat concept, swatched it, and completely forgot about it! Lately I've been trying to shop my stash, and after stumbling on it I finally gave it a proper try. I cannot believe how gorgeous it is! "Universal Blush" by So Susan is absolutely stunning. It's a lovely pink shade that blends beautifully into my skin, and has such a gorgeous sheen to it that I didn't feel the need for a hightlight. "Universal Blush" looks lovely next to my bronzer, and gave me a pretty glow that lasted all day. After a little reading on on the So Susan website (check them out here), I learned that they are a relatively new brand (2013) and are cruelty free. I'd love to try more products from them!

What blushes have you been loving lately? Thanks for stopping by! xo

Project Pan 2016: Perfume Samples! Update #2

Hello loves! I'm back with an overdue update to my perfume sample project pan. Like last time, I've made great progress on some of the samples, and ZERO progress on others. Let's begin with the good progress:

From left:
-Dreams by The Body Shop
-Beauty by Calvin Klein
-White Musk by the Body Shop
-Euphoria by Calvin Klein (X 2)
-Cherry in the Air by Escada
-Daisy by Marc Jacobs
-Oh, Lola! by Marc Jacobs
-Pure by DKNY (X 2)
-Lovestruck by Vera Wang
-Candy by Prada
-Peace, Love & Juicy Couture by Juicy Couture

As you can see, I've drawn a third line on most of the samples, and I've nearly finished a few! I'm hoping to have many of these minis completely finished by my next update!

Moving on to the slow progress:
From left:
-Infusion d'Iris by Prada
-Pure by DKNY
-Miss Dior by Christian Dior
-Chloé by Chloé
-Pivoine Flora by L'Occitane
-Code by Armani
-Honey by Marc Jacobs
-Hello by Harvey Prince

I made tiny progress on the last two fragrances, Hello and Honey. I do enjoy all these these scents but just don't reach for these little bottles when I'm applying my fragrance. Once I've finished up the minis, I'll be forced to reach for these and then I'll see progress!

Thanks for stopping by! xo

Easy Summer Nails with Cosmetic Arts Nail Lacquer

Hello lovelies! I received a few bottles of Cosmetic Arts nail lacquer for my birthday a few weeks ago. I was really excited to try them out since I hadn't heard about this brand before. I was really impressed with the consistency of this nail polish! The texture is creamy and dries quickly. I was expecting the mint color to be streaky as many light colored polishes often are, but I was pleasantly surprised by no streaking at all. I was able to get an opaque, even finish after applying two coats. I added some water decals (or nail tattoos, purchased on EBay) to give this manicure a summery, tropical vibe.

These polishes have such cute names!!

The polishes lasted three full days before chipping, and the chips were only minor. Overall I'm really impressed with Cosmetic Arts nail lacquer! Have you tried this brand before? Thanks for reading! xo
