Find Your Happiness: Tips for Reducing Everyday Stress

Hello loves! Today I wanted to share my tips on controlling stress and anxiety, whether they be caused by big problems or everyday annoyances. Personally, I struggle with over-planning, and planning ahead for things that are very far in advance. I worry about trivial details; like what I will wear for a certain appointment, what time I will take my shower (seriously), how much time I will have to get everything I need to done. I sometimes feel like my mind is constantly racing and trying so hard to figure everything out. Then I get anxious when things don't go exactly as I planned. I've learned it's important to be flexible! I can't allow silly situations to steal my happiness. Whenever I feel myself getting worked up over a situation I stop and ask myself: "Okay, is this situation really worth all this stress? Is my worrying useful?". I change my perspective and slow down. I find it really helps to take a deep breath and do one thing at a time. Try not to over-think things that are weeks in advance; focus your energy on today. This can also apply to big problems: when things go wrong, remember that there is no problem you have that God doesn't have the answer to. Take things one day at a time and don't let circumstances steal your joy. Stay determined and know that things will get better.

Something that really helps me is taking time each day to fill my spirit with positivity. I love listening to Joel Osteen. His messages are so inspiring, and his voice is really soothing! I also enjoy reading motivational quotes on Pinterest. I find it's important to do this everyday, and not just when I'm having a bad day. Building up my spirit with positivity makes me stronger to face the bad days! Even if you're really busy, take 15 minutes a day to feed your spirit with positive words.

Thank you so much for reading and stay positive! xo

Fun Times at the Canadian Tulip Festival

Hello loves! I hope everyone had a great weekend! Yesterday my friend Alicia came to town for a visit. We spent the afternoon looking at pretty tulips and soaking up the sun at the Canadian Tulip Festival with our friend Steph. It was really nice to go to the festival since I hadn't gone in ages!

Spring Accessories Wishlist with Spring!

Hello lovelies! Spring is a shopping app created to bring all the fabulous brands from Spring Street in SoHo, New York city together in one convenient place: your pocket! Spring features over 1,000 brands, (including many designer brands!) and offers free shipping and returns. Currently Spring only ships within the the US, but the brand hopes to ship internationally in the future. Here are the items on my Spring spring accessory wishlist:
1. Freyrs Eyewear Cat Eye sunglasses (here)
2. Freyrs Eyewear Indie sunglasses (here)
3. Mr Kate #WHYNOT hat (here)
4. Armani Jeans stole (here)
5. Rebecca Minkoff satchel (here)

Sunglasses are a must for spring, and I love the classic look of these Freyrs Eyewear cat eye sunglasses. The indie floral glasses are another absolutely adorable and playful option. A cap is perfect for those lazy hair days, and I love the slogan on this one by Mr Kate. Life is short, so #whynot? I chose the Armani Jeans stole because nothing says spring like a gorgeous floral stole! Finally, the Rebecca Minkoff satchel is such a pretty shade of pink, which is super refreshing for the spring season.

Check out the Spring app and happy shopping!

NOTD: Gold Glitter Gradient

Hello my darlings! I'm a huge fan of glitter gradient nails. I find them so elegant and versatile: they are great for everyday occasions, but are also fancy enough for special occasions like a prom or other fancy event! Glitter gradients are super easy to achieve and a good nail art look for beginners. To create the glitter gradient, I simply applied three coats of glitter polish, focusing the glitter more and more towards the end of the nail with each subsequent coat.
Polishes used:
-Sally Hansen Diamond Strength nail color in "Nude Shimmer"
-Love & Beauty by Forever 21 glitter nail color (this polish has no specific name)
-Pro-FX Complete 3 top coat (not shown)

Have you ever tried the glitter gradient look? Thanks for stopping by! xo
