February 2016 Favourites

Hello beauties! Happy Leap Year! I have't done a favourites post in a while, so here are my February loves:
Soap & Glory Clean On Me Creamy Clarifying Shower Gel:

Believe it or not, this is the first product I've ever tried from Soap & Glory. Yes, I was living under a rock. I'm completely obsessed with the smell of this shower gel, it's a bit cologny and I'm a huge fan of those types of smells lately! It lathers up really well and leaves my skin feeling soft. I will definitely be trying more products from this line!
 Pretty necklaces:

The necklace on the left is a gift from my friend Katarina. I really love the blue and mint combo, it's so perfect for spring (which is thankfully just around the corner!). The necklace on the right was a little treat to myself. I wanted something small and dainty that would go with everything. I love the tiny rhinestones! I snagged it at Forever 21 for $3.90 CAD!
Calvin Klein Euphoria fragrance:

I started a perfume sample project pan last week (check it out here) and it's allowing me to rediscover scents that I wore in highschool and my uni years which I had forgotten about and now realize how much I've missed them! I used to not be a fan of Euphoria because I found it too intense. However, my tastes have really changed and I love musky, cologny scents now. Euphoria has fruity and floral notes which are balanced out with mahogany wood and liquid amber so it's not too sweet, it's really quite sensual. I just might treat myself to the full size once I complete my project pan!

What have you been loving this month? Thanks for stopping by! xo

Project Pan 2016: Perfume Samples!

Hello beauties! Over the years, through subscription boxes and free samples from beauty counters, I've accumulated a TON of perfume samples. I love receiving them, because I love trying new scents, and I rarely wear the same scent two days in a row (I have over 10 full size perfumes in my collection). However, I find the problem with samples is after 2-3 uses, I stash them away in a drawer and forget about them! After watching ginandglitter's #365daysofsamples video on YouTube (check her out here), a few days ago, I decided to start a Project Pan to use up all my perfume samples.

I have eight deluxe size samples from Luxebox and Ipsy:

 From left:
-Hello by Harvey Prince
-Code by Armani
-Pure by DKNY
-Miss Dior by Christian Dior
-Pivoine Flora by L'Occitane
-Chloé by Chloé
-Infusion d'Iris by Prada
-Honey by Marc Jacobs

I also have thirteen regular samples from beauty counters:
From left:
-Dreams by The Body Shop
-White Musk by the Body Shop
-Lovestruck by Vera Wang
-Euphoria by Calvin Klein (X 2)
-Pure by DKNY (X 2)
-Cherry in the Air by Escada
-Peace, Love & Juicy Couture by Juicy Couture
-Beauty by Calvin Klein
-Candy by Prada
-Daisy by Marc Jacobs
-Oh, Lola! by Marc Jacobs

I have marked them with a Sharpie so I can track my progress. I'll check back in a few months to update you!
If you would like me to review any of these, please let me know! I'm also doing a makeup project pan on my YouTube channel if you are interested, check out my channel here. If anyone is doing any projects, comment down below as I'd love to see them! I hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend. Spring is now only 27 days away!! #wegotthis

Essence Make Me Brow

Hello beauties! I'm a huge fan of brow mascaras, and when I saw that Essence carried one I immediately snatched it up! I've never been disappointed with Essence products, they are truly extraordinary quality for the price. Make Me Brow is so easy to use and saves me precious time in rushed weekday mornings. My natural brows are pretty dark and and full, but I do like to have that extra definition, so I usually fill them in with a brow pencil followed by clear brow gel. Make Me Brow gives my brows volume while keeping them looking natural in one easy step! It contains little fibres that stick to the eyebrow hairs and fill in any sparseness. This product lasts all day and is totally buildable. I like to apply two coats and I didn't notice any clumping or issues. Make Me Brow was less than $5.00 CAD at my local drugstore, while Benefit Gimme Brow retails for over $20.00 CAD! Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of Benefit, but there are times when I can't shell out 20 bucks for brow mascara #balleronabudget

After applying two coats of Make Me Brow, my brows still look natural but a lot more polished. I used shade "01 Blondy Brows", because as far as I could tell there was only one shade available.
I would prefer a slightly darker color, but overall I'm in love with this product!

I will definitely be repurchasing this little gem! Thanks so much for stopping by! xo

Rimmel London Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed Powder

Hi beauties! When I ran out of my Maybelline Fit Me powder a few weeks ago, I decided to try something new because my skin has been breaking out and generally acting up with winter's dryness. As I was browsing the makeup aisle, the Rimmel London Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed Powder caught my eye. I've heard good things about the Rimmel London Stay Matte range so I decided to give it a shot. I've been using it for a little while now and I'm really loving it! The first thing I want to mention is how huge the container is! It contains 14g of product, whereas the Maybelline Fit Me powder only has 7g. If I remember correctly both powders are a similar price so you're definitely getting a better bargain with Rimmel! The is the first pressed powder I've used that is scented. It has a subtly clean scent which I find really fun. I'm very impressed with this powder's staying power: it claims to keep your skin matte for five hours and it definitely goes beyond that. I do need to touch up after about 8-9 hours because my skin is oily, but my skin doesn't look cakey when I apply more product.

The only downside to this powder is that the container doesn't contain a mirror. The packaging isn't super large and since it contains so much product there simply isn't room for one! However, this isn't a huge issue for me--how many mirrors does a girl really need? I usually do touch-ups in the restroom anyway!

Have you tried anything from the Rimmel Stay Matte range? Thanks for reading! xo

Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Rockin' Curves Mascara

Hello beauties! I recently came across the Rimmel London Rockin' Curves mascara on sale at the drugstore so I decided to give it a try. The snake print packaging was just too cute to leave behind! I've used the Xtreme Scandal Eyes mascara before and enjoyed it (review here) so I figured this one would be good too. I wasn't wrong! I love the big, curved brush: it really does make the application process quicker. The "broken heart" curve (how cute!) hugs all my lashes and gives them a long, volumized look. This mascara is totally buildable and doesn't clump if I use several coats. However, the formula is slightly on the dryer side and I've noticed a tiiiiny bit of faking near the end of the day. This is not a huge problem for me because the flakes are easily swept away and don't leave a mess behind. Overall, I'm really happy with this mascara!

Above: Two coats on the left side vs no mascara on the right side
I love how long my lashes look!

Are you a Rimmel London fan? Thanks for stopping by!! :) ♥
