Makeup Academy Undress Your Skin Shimmer Highlighter

Hello beauties! Are there any highlighter fans out there? I'm a really big fan of the Makeup Academy Undress Your Skin Shimmer Highlighter. It's an absolutely gorgeous champagne shade and really gives my skin that glam factor. I like to apply it using a an angled brush to gently pat some on to my cheekbones. This highlighter really catches the light and it so fun to wear. The huge 7.5g container will last me forever as I've been using it for about two months now and there isn't even a dent yet!

What's your favorite highlighter? Thanks for stopping by!

P.S. My blog's 4th birthday is coming up in a few short weeks, so stay tuned for a special post and a giveaway! xo

LA Girl Matte Flat Finish Pigment Gloss in Bazaar

Hello beauties! I picked up a tube of the LA Girl Matte Flat Finish Pigment Gloss in Bazaar during the Black Friday sales. This is the first (and only) liquid lipstick I've tried. I enjoy using it, but it isn't my favorite. The product is fun to apply and I do like the fact that it goes from liquid to matte, but unfortunately it leaves my lips feeling dry. I would definitely not recommend it if your lips are the slightest bit chapped, because it will accentuate the dryness! The LA Girl Matte Flat Finish Pigment Glosses also don't have a fun scent like most lip products I've tried. In fact, they have a slightly chemical smell... The range has lots of fun, bold colours and they are quite inexpensive, but I don't think I'll be buying any more. I would recommend this product only if you're planning on wearing it for a few hours to an event or party, but it wouldn't be ideal for a full day.
Here the product is wet.

This is what the gloss looks like when it has dried.

Aussie Sun-Touched Shine Hi-Hold + Hi-Shine Spray

Hello loves! I am willing to admit that I'm a hardcore hairspray addict. My hair is almost always tied up (or at least half-up) and I abhor flyaways, so I like to use tons of hairspray to ensure that my hair remains unmoveable. It is often hard to the touch but it does stay in place! I was searching for a new hairspray because my favourite Pantene hairspray's formula changed, and I picked up this Aussie Sun-Touched Shine Hi-Hold + Hi-Shine Spray on a whim. I'm so glad I did! It has definitely become my new favourite.

I wanted a hairspray that had a nice, clean scent without being too overpowering. Every Aussie product I've tried has smelled great, and this hairspray is no exception. It has maximum hold and keeps my hair in place all day. It also dries very fast and isn't sticky either! My favourite feature is the "sun-touched shine" aspect: this hairspray gives my hair a gorgeous, even glow. I've had hairsprays in the past that kind of darkened my hair in some areas, and my hair appeared darker even after the product dried. However this is not an issue with Aussie!

Are you a hairspray addict like me? What are your favourite hair-care brands? Thanks for stopping by! xo

January 2016 Wishlist

1. Ok, But First Coffee t-shirt (here)
2. Adidas Adria Low shoes (here)
3. Dream Believe Achieve t-shirt (here)
4. Bath and Body Works body lotion in Coconut Lime Breeze (here) and Endless Weekend (here)
5. Starbucks crop top (here)

Hello loves! I've been lusting after summery items lately. Could it be a case of the winter blues, or am I just thinking ahead? I've been obsessed with graphic tees since the fall. I'm very tempted to buy the Starbucks crop top! I definitely need a new pair of sneakers for this spring and summer, and I'm considering treating myself to a pair of Adidas. They are slightly pricey (I usually look for bargains at Payless ShoeSource), but if they are high quality and last long, they will be a great investment. What's on your wishlist? Thanks for stopping by! xo

I used Paint and Ribbet to create this collage.

MAC Lipstick in Whirl

Hello lovely readers! I received  MAC "Whirl" as a Christmas gift and I'm totally in love with it! It's actually my first MAC lipstick (if you're a long time reader of my blog, you know I've only recently started exploring the lipstick world). "Whirl" is a matte lipstick but it feels creamy and comfortable, not at all drying. It's a beautiful, red tinted brown with a delightful bakery scent. It also fades evenly without clinging awkwardly to dry spots on the lips.
Overall, I'm really pleased with this lipstick and I will be treating myself to more MAC lippies in the future!
