A Day at the Beach

Hello lovely readers! This past Saturday I went on a little road trip with some of my girl friends to visit our friend Alicia, who recently moved out of town. We went to Sandbanks Provincial Park which is in Alicia's area. I was beyond excited as I haven't been to Sandbanks in a few years. We were lucky to have nice weather, it was a gorgeous sunny day with a few cloudy breaks. I don't know how to swim but I still had a great time playing in the water. I wanted to share a few pictures with you, hope you enjoy!

I hope you all had a great Monday! xo

Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer Review

Hello lovely readers! Today I want to share my thoughts on the Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer. I feel silly that I didn't take a picture of my tube before the writing started to wear off (my bad!). My concealer tube was actually part of a gift with purchase, so that's why there is a lipgloss attached to it (which I haven't tried yet!). My mom gave me this concealer after she ordered some creams from Estee Lauder. I was quite stoked to try it since I've heard so many great reviews on the Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation.

So what do I think? I'm a huge fan of this concealer!! The consistency is quite different from other concealers I've tried: it's slightly thicker and almost a bit silicone-y. It glides on so well and gives me medium coverage. I've been skipping foundation completely when I use this concealer. I simply apply my primer (I'm currently loving The POREfessional by Benefit), a thin layer of this concealer and my setting powder. I dab the concealer on and blend it out with my fingers. My skin stays matte for my whole 9 to 5 work day, but if I have plans afterwards I apply some more setting powder and I'm good to go!

Have you tried any of Estee Lauder's Double Wear products? This concealer is on the pricey side since it's high end but I'm considering treating myself to a full size tube when my "gift with purchase" runs out! Thanks for reading! xo

OOTD: Flowy Summer Tunic

Hello loves! My sister bought me this super pretty tunic for my birthday. I actually wore this to work, even if it is more of a weekend outfit in my opinion (my work lets me get away with super casual clothes!). It's so comfy and airy. I hope you are all having a great week. Wednesday is already over; only two more days until the weekend!

Tunic: H&M
Leggings: Garage
Tank top (under tunic): Denver Hayes
Flats: H&M
Necklace and earrings: Forever 21

Getting Un-Ready: My Favorite Night Time Products

Hello lovely readers! What's more comforting than taking a nice hot shower and pampering yourself after a long day at work? There are times when getting "un-ready" is my favorite part of the day! I thought I'd share my current night time pampering must-haves with you :)
Biore Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser
You can tell how much I've been loving this cleanser as it's almost empty! I feel like it
really gets into my pores to remove all the day's impurities. It also slightly tingles my
skin as I use it, and leaves my face feeling refreshed and smooth.
The Body Shop Satsuma Body Polish
This is probably my all time favorite product from The Body Shop. I love how the smell lingers
in the bathroom and on my skin for a good while after I'm done showering. This body polish exfoliates my skin as it cleanses but I don't find it too harsh for everyday use.
Mad About You Bath and Body Works Body Lotion
I'm a huge fan of Bath and Body Works lotions, this is just the one I'm currently using.
The Mad About You scent consists of black currants, bright peony and vanilla musk
which is nice for the summer!
Phytomer Accept Neutralizing Cream
This Accept Neutralizing Cream is what I use to moisturise my face at night. I like it because
it helps control redness and dryness and doesn't leave my skin feeling greasy.
Avon Elements Moisture Boost Eye Cream
I use Avon's Elements Moisture Boost Eye Cream to give that extra touch of moisture to my under-eye area and my brow bone. It absorbs really quickly and leaves my eyes feeling so happy!

What are you night time must-haves? Thanks for stopping by! xo

My Fall 2015 Wishlist ♥♥

Hello loves! I'm dreaming of fall! Fall is definitely my favorite season. I miss cool, cloudy days, gorgeous orange and red leaves, and of course, PUMPKIN SPICE LATTES! I decided to share my little fall 2015 wishlist with you. It's nothing super specific from stores, just general goodies I'd like.
My Fall 2015 Wishlist:

  • Bath and Body Works fall-themed goodies
  • Plaid shirts (AS IF I don't already own any... I'm thinking of browsing the thrift store for these.)
  • New jeans (I want a pair of regular skinny jeans. Right now I only have high-waisted ones.)
  • Combat boots (I already have a cute pair on my EBay Watchlist!)
  • Cardigans (can a girl ever have enough cardigans? Fall is the season to start layering!)

What are you wishing for this fall? Thanks for stopping by!

Review: Lashes Amour Volumizing Mascara from Love & Beauty by Forever 21

Happy August to all my readers!! Today I have a quick mascara review for you: it's the Lashes Amour Volumizing Mascara from Love & Beauty by Forever 21.

I love the pretty gold packaging!

I was excited to try this mascara since I've never tried one from Forever 21 before. I purchased it on a whim because I saw it on sale while shopping online and I needed a new mascara. Lashes Amour has a bristle brush and the formula is on the drier side. I do enjoy it but I don't love it. It did a good job of volumizing my lashes, but I prefer wetter formulas and plastic brushes.
Here I've applied two coats to my lashes on the right eye, and nothing on the left eye.

Would I repurchase this? Probably not. It is a good mascara, just not one of my favourites. Thanks for reading! xo
