Review: Avon Super Extend Winged Out Mascara

Hello mascara lovers! If you're a regular reader you know I really enjoy trying out new mascaras, I'm always searching for one better than the last. I'm a big fan of Avon mascaras since they are amazing quality for the price. Avon was having a mascara sale not too long ago, so I decided to try the Super Extend Winged Out Mascara.
I'm really impressed with this product. It didn't give me too much volume but it is super lengthening, and that's the way I like my mascaras! The Avon  Super Extend Winged Out Mascara has a wetter formula but dries very quickly. The formula is totally buildable and doesn't clump, even after several coats. However, I had sufficient length after only two coats so it isn't necessary to apply a ton of product. This mascara has a pretty standard plastic brush. It washes off super easily with soap and water, so there's no need to tug at your lashes with makeup remover and a cotton pad.
Have you tried Avon's Super Extend Winged Out Mascara? Thanks for reading! xo

Book Review: Fearless Fourteen by Janet Evanovich

Hello fellow book worms. You might already be familiar with the Stephanie Plum series, but I'm super late with it. I just read book fourteen, and book twenty-one has already been released!
Stephanie Plum is a 30-something with quite the exciting job: she’s a bounty hunter! She's not exactly an expert at it, but somehow manages to make it through all the sticky situations he gets herself into. She has two men in her life: her on-again, off-again sexy cop boyfriend, Joe Morelli, and her "friend" Ranger, a smoking-hot professional bounty hunter. These two men are always ready to help Stephanie get out of her messes. On top of having an unusual job and complicated love life, Stephanie is always at the centre of Trenton's latest mystery.

In this particular story, Stephanie ends up… on babysitting duty! After apprehending Loretta, a skip who held up a liquor store, Stephanie ends up watching Loretta's 14 year old son, Mario, until Loretta can post bail. Once she finally manages to do so and get out of jail, it isn't long before she disappears! While trying to find Loretta, Stephanie learns that Loretta's brother Dom robbed a bank ten years ago and has just come out of jail. He was able to hide the money before getting caught. Now he and his partners are trying to get in touch with each other to get their hands on the 9 million Dom has hid. The only problem is one of the partners is unknown to Dom. Getting the money is turning out to be more complicated than Dom had hoped, and the mystery partner has grown impatient. He has kidnapped Loretta!

Stephanie must try to work with Dom to uncover the identity of the mystery partner and save Loretta. This task is easier said than done. Dom has major anger management issues and absolutely hates Morelli. Mario is currently living with Stephanie in Morelli's home, and Dom isn't at all pleased. On top of that, news of the hunt for the missing money quickly makes its way around the city, and soon greedy Trenton citizens show up on Morelli's lawn, hoping the money is buried there. As each day goes by, the mystery partner is getting more and more anxious. He kills the other two partners, and is sending threats that he will harm Loretta if his demands aren't met. Can Stephanie find Loretta and the money in time?

This series is suspenseful and super hilarious. If you've never read a Stephanie Plum novel, what are you waiting for? You’ll be addicted!

Benefit Gimme Brow Review

Hi loves! My brows are a really important part of my makeup routine, and I love trying out new products for them. I used to be partial to using regular eyeshadow to fill them in. I later became addicted to brow pencils and also experimented with the Annabelle Brow Design + Fix "marker" (see my review here). I received Benefit Gimme Brow in my Spring 2015 Luxebox and I was really excited to try it out, as it's quite different from all the other brow products I've tried.
Benefit Gimme Brow is a "brush-on fibre gel": it contains small fibres that stick to your brows and skin to look like actual hairs. The result is super natural-looking full brows, think "it's you but improved"! I really like this type of subtle effect versus the harsh look brow pencils can sometimes give. Gimme brow is so easy to use and completely buildable. I like using two layers personally.

What's your favourite brow product? Thanks for reading! xo

NOTD: Feeling Minty!!

Hi loves! Mint is one of my favorite nail colors, especially for spring!! This is "Pepperminty" by Ciaté. It's a bluer mint, almost like the Tiffany Blue. I'm a huge fan! I added some colorful glitter to make it even prettier.
Polishes used from left:
-Ciaté Mini Paint Pot in "Pepperminty"
-A.Co Nail Polish in "Lights, Camera, Action"
-Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Nail Color in "Clearly Quick"

NOTD: Pretty In Pink

Hi loves! I love pink nails for spring, and what goes better with pink than glitter?? I used loose glitter for this mani to give it that extra glamour. I just placed a bit of clear polish on the area where I wanted the glitter to be, then gently shook some on directly from the glitter pot (like a salt shaker!), working on one nail at a time.
Polishes used from left:
-Avon Nailwear Pro + in "Watermelon"
Sally Hansen Insta-Dri nail color in "Clearly Quick"
-Maybelline Color Show Nail Lacquer in "Chiffon Chic"
This loose glitter was a gift from my friend Amber!! Check her out here!! :)
I used the glitter pot in the middle.

Is this mani too glittery or would you wear it too? Thanks for reading! xo

Avon Elements Moisture Boost Eye Cream Review

Hi loves!! I picked up this Avon Elements Moisture Boost eye cream about a month ago to try it, just for fun. I've never really used eye creams before. This one is supposed to give your eye area amazing moisture, and it doesn't have any anti-wrinkle properties (I think I'm still okay to wait a few more years before I start worrying about that!).
I do get dry skin on my eyelids from time to time, so this cream really came in handy! It feels really refreshing when applied. I've been using it day and night, as the instructions suggest. It doesn't interfere with my eyeshadow staying-power, since it's a super light formula and not greasy at all.

I would recommend this eye cream if you have a bit of dryness around the eyes. I really love it! Thanks for reading! xo

NOTD: Super Easy Easter Nails: Pastel Dots!!

Hi loves! First off, let me wish everyone a Happy Easter!! I hope everyone is having a relaxing day with family and friends :) These nails were a last minute idea. I had a nude polish on my nails and I noticed they were starting to look a bit shabby, so I decided to do something quick and easy for Easter. I just used a dotting tool and different colored pastel polishes to get this pretty look. Hope you enjoy! :)
Polished used from bottom left:
-Sinful Colors Professional Nail Polish in "Snow Me White"
-Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Nail Color in "Pumped Up Pink"
-Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Nail Color in "Set Sail"
-Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Nail Color in "Clearly Quick"
-Essie Nail Polish in "Lilacism"

Thanks for reading! xo

Book Review: Shoe Addicts Anonymous by Beth Harbison

This novel was a super fun girly read. Four strangers with nothing in common (except a passion for designer shoes!) join together for the Shoe Addicts Anonymous club. Each woman has her own set of woes, and hope the club will temporarily take their minds off their troubles. Jocelyn, a young woman from a small town working as a nanny, has to deal with a horrible boss. She's trapped by a contract as well as her own loyalty. Sandra is severely agoraphobic and hasn't had any social interaction in ages, except with her therapist (and her clients--she has a scandalous job!). Helene is married to a politician. She's got it all: money, looks, fame... but her husband is a ultra-controlling and ultra-unfaithful. Lorna, who created Shoe Addicts Anonymous, is drowning in debt. She hopes the club will stop her from buying shoes. She can trade shoes instead!

These women never expected to become the best of friends and start a new life! Each woman, slowly but surely, solves their problems through new found determination and support. This novel also features action scenes and plot twists: Helene is being followed by a suspicious cameraman, and Jocelyn learns there is a lot more to the nanny business than she originally thought. Lorna and Sandra find unexpected romance. Definitely a page turner!
