Revlon Lash Potion by Grow Luscious Volume and Length Mascara Review

Hello readers! I love trying out new mascaras and at a recent trip to the drug store, the Revlon Lash Potion mascara caught my eye. It must have been the pretty packaging! I've been using it for a few weeks now and I'm enjoying it quite a lot.

This mascara claims to give your lashes "spellbinding volume and length". The formula contains vitamins, proteins and amino acids to "revitalize" the lashes, while the "illusionist wand" is supposed to "drench your lashes" without causing clumps. Although I don't quite agree that this mascara does EXACTLY what it claims to do, the illusionist wand does create effortless volume. With a few quick swipes my lashes were full and long. However, I did find that this mascara has a tendency to clump pretty easily if you're not careful with the brush, since the mascara can sometimes come out in blobs. This problem is easily solved if you wipe the brush a bit before the application. The formula is on the wetter side and does not flake.

Overall, I would really recommend this mascara. I'm always a fan of extra large brushes like this one! Thanks for reading! xo

IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Full Coverage Concealer Review

Hello everyone! I received a travel sized sample of the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Full Coverage Concealer in my December Ipsy bag. I've never heard of the brand before, and I've never tried a full coverage concealer. The verdict? I'm really loving it! Ipsy is always spot-on with the products they send me, honestly I've never been disappointed yet!

This concealer had a creamier, heavier texture than other concealers I've tried, since it is full coverage. It can be applied with a brush or just with your fingers, and the box says it can be used to cover up spots like an actual concealer, or you can apply a thin layer to the whole face and wear it like a foundation. I actually wear concealer as foundation on some days when I don't want my makeup to be too heavy so that's how I've been wearing this product. I was SO impressed with it the first time I applied it, it really is a FULL coverage product! My dark circles were completely covered with one little dab of product. A little bit goes a long way so this tube will last quite a few uses! It is also very buildable for stubborn spots. I apply a thin layer all over my face, then I add a light dusting of setting powder. The end result is an even, smooth finish.
The only problem with this product was that it caused my t-zone to become oily throughout the day. However a lot of products do this to me! I just dab at the "shiny" areas with a tissue to remove the excess oil and apply more powder if necessary.

Have you tired this product? Thanks for reading! xo

It's a Blue Mascara Kind of Day: Avon Super Shock Brights Mascara in Royal Shock

Hi loves!! I saw this absolutely gorgeous mascara in a recent Avon Campaign and was immediately drawn to it. I used to wear blue mascara back in my "tween" days, and I remember how fun it was. However I haven't been able to find any coloured mascara in drug stores, at least not anything this bright! I know higher end brands have coloured mascaras but I'm cheap, okay? So when I saw the Avon Super Shock Brights Mascara I grabbed a tube of the prettiest blue!

What a stunning blue!!! I love the sleek black packaging with the glittery foil print. I applied three coats to my top lashes, and two coats to my bottom lashes. This mascara has impressive colour pay-off. My natural lashes are quite dark, so I think it would look even cooler for ladies with lighter lashes. This may not be a work appropriate look, but I'm going to rock it on casual Fridays and weekends!

Would you ever wear something like this?? Thanks for reading! xo
