Forever 21 and Urban Planet Haul: Boxing Week Deals!

Hi loves! I did a bit of shopping to take advantage of the awesome Boxing Week deals going on! I didn't want to spend too much but I saw some super cute things at Forever 21 and Urban Planet that I just couldn't leave behind. Here's what I got:

Forever 21:

This dress will be perfect for spring and summer, for work or going out with friends :)
This makeup bag is HUGE! I was due for a new one!
I love, love, love this skirt. I've been wanting a tulle kind of skirt for a while.
This one is super pretty but not over the top pouffy!

Urban Planet:

How cute is this SpongeBob pullover?
I love this type of flowy top. It's high-low so perfect to throw over a pair of leggings!

Last but not least I picked up some more leggings. I can never have too many!

The Foot Factory Mint Foot Scrub Review

Hello loves :) I was looking for a new foot scrub and came across this one by The Foot Factory. I was immediately drawn to the super cute packaging!! I've been using it for about two months now and I really like it!
This scrub leaves my feet refreshed and helps make them smoother. It basically does what a foot scrub is supposed to do, while looking super cute on the shelf!! However, if I could improve one thing about this product I would increase the consistency of exfoliating particles in it. I feel like they are a bit scarce for a scrub! Overall though I do enjoy this product.

I hope everyone had a nice Christmas! Thanks for reading! xo

First Impressions: Cailyn Just Mineral Eye Polish

Hello loves! I received this beautiful Cailyn Just Mineral Eye Polish in my December Ipsy bag. I was really excited to try it because I've never heard of the Cailyn brand before! This product is basically a loose eye shadow that you apply with the handy applicator included. I recieved the shade "#5 Orchid", and it's absolutely gorgeous!

Before applying the Eye Polish, I applied some Urban Decay primer potion and a matte light brown eyeshadow to my lids. I then applied the Eye Polish by gently dabbing the product on. It's so shimmery! I blended the edges a tiny bit and applied two coats of mascara. This would be a perfect shade for holiday parties,  if you added a cat eye with liquid eyeliner to dress it up a bit :)

This product lasted all day and did not crease. I'm really loving it so far! Thanks for reading :) xo

First Impressions: Maybelline Real Impact! Great Lash Mascara

Hello loves!! I'm a sucker for trying new mascaras and when I saw this new Maybelline Real Impact! Great Lash Mascara I decided to give it a whirl. The original Maybelline Great Lash is an amazing quality and super affordable drug store mascara so I was hoping the Real Impact! one would be just as nice.

This mascara contains no artificial waxes and claims to give your lashes natural looking volume. Which is exactly what it did for me! After two coats, my lashes did have more volume, but it was quite natural looking. This mascara has a dryer formula compared to the original Maybelline Great Lash mascara, and as you can see on the package, it also has a much fuller brush than the original product. Because this formula doesn't contain artificial waxes, it does wash off SUPER easily with soap and water, so no need for actual makeup remover!

Overall this mascara does exactly what the packaging says: it gives you natural looking lashes and it's very easy to wash away. However I don't plan on re-purchasing it simply because I love having bold, dramatic lashes. It's a great mascara for girls who like the natural look. What do you think?? Thanks for reading! xo

Little Target Haul ♥

Hello loves and happy first of December!! Last night I stopped at Target on my home from dinner with a few friends. Who can resist picking up some beauty goodies while browsing Target?

Products from left, clockwise:
-Revlon Lash Potion by Grow Luscious Volume & Length Mascara
-Maybelline Real Impact! Great Lash Mascara
-Sonia Kashuk Sunkissed Pressed Bronzer in "Golden"
-Neutrogena Body Clear Pink Grapefruit Body Wash
-Aveeno Ultra-Calming Daily Moisturizer

I was due for a new mascara (but ended up buying two!). My moisturizer and body wash were also getting low. However the bronzer is a totally random purchase. I've never been a bronzer type of girl but lately I've been feeling a bit pale and dull so I felt like trying something new. Hopefully I can get the hang of it and not turn into an oompa loompa!!

Hope everyone had a nice Monday! xo

Delon Intense Moisturizing Mango Body Butter Review

Hello loves! Today I want to review a body product for you, it is the Delon Intense Moisturizing Mango Body Butter. I actually keep this product in a drawer at my desk at work and use it for moisturizing my hands. As you can see I really like it, I've used most of it up!

This was the first time I've tried anything from the Delon brand (and the first time I heard about it!). I picked up this product on impulse because it was on clearance at Bed Bath & Beyond. I'm really glad I did! It's the PERFECT consistency for a body butter: nice and thick but not greasy. It really keeps your hands smooth so you don't feel like you constantly need to re-apply it. The mango scent is amazing and not too strong. And.... IT'S MADE IN CANADA!! The Delon Laboratory is in Montreal :)

Have you tried this brand before? Thanks for reading! xo

Check EBay if would like to purchase some of these nail tattoos
yourself. There are so many designs available!
Polishes used:
-China Glaze Nail Lacquer in "Shower Together"
-Love And Beauty by Forever 21 glitter polish (the polish has no specific name)
-Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in "Clearly Quick"

I'm planning on featuring many more Christmas nails on my blog so stay tuned!! Thanks for reading! xo

Revlon Corlorstay 24 Hrs Foundation Review

Hi loves! Since the weather has been getting colder I've been feeling the need to use products with more coverage on my face. During the summer I like to keep it simple with the bare minimum: just concealer and powder. However lately I feel like I need something more to really even out my skin. I've been using the Revlon Corlorstay 24 Hrs foundation for about a month now, and I'm really impressed with it!
This foundation has a thicker consistency and amazing coverage. It's also build-able for the stubborn areas, like the dark circles under my eyes! I like to use a setting powder with it, and I've been using the Maybelline Fit Me powder.
I apply the foundation with a regular foundation brush, then
add a thin layer of setting powder with a kabuki brush.
Throughout the day this foundation does not fade or make my skin oily. It also doesn't get cakey around the bridge of my nose where my glasses sit (many foundations/concealers give me issues in that area), so that's a big plus for me! Another thing I love about this product is that a little goes a long way, so the bottle will last me forever!

Have you tried this foundation? Thanks for reading! xo

NOTD: Matte Black Nails ♥

Hello my lovelies. I purchased the L'Oreal Paris The Magic Topcoats in "The Matte Velvet" a little while ago and I've been loving it. Last night I had the brilliant idea to use it over black nails and I'm so happy with how it turned out! I think matte nails are perfect for fall and winter!

Polishes used for this look:
-L'Oreal Paris The Magic Topcoats in "The Matte Velvet"
-Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear in "Black Out"

What I love about this topcoat is how fast it dries: as soon as your nails turn matte your manicure is completely dry. Some topcoats are dry to the touch after a few minutes but if you're not careful your nails can still smudge. However that is definitely not the case for The Matte Velvet! Once it's dry to the touch, you're good to go!

Are you a fan of matte nails? Thanks for reading! xo

Book Review: In The Blood by Lisa Unger

I really enjoyed this gripping story! This is a "thriller" type of novel with plot twist after plot twist. The story follows Lana's adventures at college. All her life, Lana has been hiding from her past by building a new life for herself and building walls around herself. She is the quiet, shy girl who blends into crowds. When her friend and flatmate Beck goes missing, all clues point to Lana. Lana couldn't be involved in Beck's disappearance, could she? Lana would never hurt anyone. Is it  more than a simple a coincidence that this is the second disappearance at Lana's college, and she has been somehow involved in both the victim's lives?

Lana has been babysitting Luke, a troubled boy she seems to relate to. Luke starts a scavenger hunt with Lana, which takes her mind off her problems. However, as she finds each clue she wonders if this is really just a child's game, or something more? The clues lead to secrets in Lana's past. How could Luke, an 8 year old boy, know about her? And how much does he know?

I don't want to give anything else away so all I'll say is nothing is as it seems in this novel. Each character holds many secrets and are connected to each other in ways you'd never expect!

Vasanti BrightenUp! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator Review

Hello loves! I've been using this Vasanti BrightenUp! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator for the past two months and I'm really liking it! It's an exfoliating cleanser made with micro-crystals. They are so fine and I feel like they really penetrate my skin to get all the day's dirt and impurities out. This cleanser also has papaya enzymes in it to brighten the skin. I use it 3 times a week, at night after using my Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash. Since I've been using it I found my skin has been clearer. I do get blackheads but I've been getting a lot less pimples! The formula is 99% natural and made in Canada (woohoo!).

Have you tried this product?? Thanks for reading! xo

NOTD: Sally Hansen Lustre Shine in Lava

Hi lovies! Have you heard of Sally Hansen's Lustre Shine nail polishes?? They are amazing! Depending on the lighting the polish seems to be different colors. I'm wearing "Lava", an orange-y shade that looks pink in bright light. In low lighting it looks copper. The polish is basically very fine glitter, and I applied three coats to make is opaque. I need to get my hands on more shades from this collection!!

Review: Pacifica Eye Liner in Gun Metal

Hi lovies! I received this Pacifica eye liner in my September Ipsy bag and it's great! I was excited to try it out since I've never heard of the Pacifica brand before. After a quick peep on their website I learned they are 100% vegan and cruelty-free! They offer a huge range of cosmetics and their prices are really reasonable.
Pacifica eye liner in "Gun Metal"
This eye liner glided on easily and didn't smudge all day. It also sharpens well which is a MUST for pencil eye liners! I've had some that crumble a bit when you sharpen them and if you're not careful the crumbly bits can end up falling in your eye!

Have you heard of this brand before? Check out their website here. Thanks for reading! xo

-Sephora by OPI nail colour in "I Only Shop Vintage"
-Love and Beauty by Forever 21 nail colour gold glitter (polish doesn't have a name)
-Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear nail colour in "Invisible"

Annabelle Instaglam Brow Design + Fix Review

Hello lovies :) Recently I've been bored with using powder to fill in my brows and I wanted to try something new. I was browsing the makeup aisle and the Annabelle Instaglam Brow Design + Fix product caught my eye. I've been using it for about a month now and I absolutely adore it!
The product has two sides, the first being the "design" side which is a basically a marker. It works wonderfully and it's so quick and easy to draw on where you want your brows to look fuller. The other side is the "fix" side, which is a mascara-type wand with product to hold your brows in place. I find the best way to use this product is to use the "design" side and let it dry, then go over it with just a touch of the "fix" side.
The end result looks great and literally lasts all day without fading! It washes away easily with soap and water without staining your skin. I definitely recommend this; it's so much more fun to draw on your brows than to use powder!!
