November Collective Haul!!

Hi everyone :) Here are a few items I purchased over the month of November.  This is my first collective haul blog post, so I hope you enjoy it as much as me!!

This cardigan is from Forever 21.  It was $33.00 CDN I believe.

Close-up of the button :)

This watch is from Avon, and it was on sale for $14.99 CDN.  It's supposed to be a birthstone watch. This is actually the March birthstone: my birthday is in June (the color was a lilac purple), but I prefered the aquamarine color :)

Avon Moisture-Effective Eye Makeup Remover Lotion: this eye makeup remover works so well and is very inexpensive!! It often goes on sale for $0.99 CDN!!

Amuse 12 color eyeshadow palette: I purchased this from Cherry Culture.  It was on sale for $2.00 CDN.  For such a great price I could not resist!!

Here are swatches of the first three colors.

NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Cashmere: I've heard so many great things about NYX jumbo eye pencils so I picked one up!! It was on sale for $3.40 CDN

NYX Eyeshadow Base in "Skin Tone": I was running out of eyeshadow primer so I decided to try this.  It was also on sale, for $5.30 CDN.

Milani Nail Lacquer in "Holographic Silver"  I've seen raves about holographic nail polishes all over the internet so I thought I'd join the fun :) This was $3.99 CDN.

L.A. Colors Color Craze Nail polish with hardeners in "Voltage".  I've tried L.A. Colors polishes before and they are great!! This was $1.50 CDN.

I will be reviewing some of these products in the near future so stay posted!! Thanks for reading!! xo

Review: Maybelline ColorShow Nail Lacquer

Hi loves! I purchased a bottle of Maybelline's ColorShow nail lacquer at the end of August after seeing advertisements for it everywhere.  I'm a little late, but here is my review!

The color I purchased is a bubble gum pink, called "Chiffon Chic".  I added two coats of "Fairy Dust" from China Glaze over it.

As you can see from the pictures, this polish is very true to color.  I love the shape of the bottle; the uniform cylinder is quite chic.  The polish itself was unfortunately streaky, and took three coats to get a decent finish.  I used the glitter in an attempt to smooth out the streaks.  The brush was also very small and not ideal for the application.

Overall, this is a decent product for the price.  I was impressed by the bold colors offered in this line, but the quality of the product wasn't amazing.  Maybelline, I love your eyeshadows anbd mascaras, but this nail lacquer isn't your best asset!!

Avon Foot Works Beautiful Smoothing Scrub Review

Hi loves :)  Since the cooler weather has arrived, my feet have been extra dry.  I decided to try out the Avon Foot Works Beautiful Smoohing Scrub, since I have tried Avon foot products before and enjoyed them.  I was very pleased with this product!  I chose the "Berry Vanilla" scent; it smells so yummy!  I believe this product also comes in a minty scent and a chocolate pomegranate scent.

Avon Foot Works Beautiful Smoothing Scrub in "Berry Vanilla"

This scrub contains tiny exfoliating beads, so the scrubbing process isn't too rough or painful.  After a few uses my feet felt smoother and softer.  If you haven't tried this product yet, I highly recommend it!  It's fairly inexpensive and Avon often has sales :)

I love the huge collar on this dress!

I straightened my hair and tied it in a low ponytail.

Easy Fall Eyeshadow: Pop of Purple!

Hi everyone :) I've been in a boring rut of only wearing the SAME neutral eyeshadows everyday, and since I own so many products I decided I should make an effort and spice things up!! Here is a super easy look I wore the other day that incorporates purple, perfect for fall in my opinion! Hope you enjoy :)

Products used:
This eyeshadow is actually from the Dollarstore! I used the white
as a highlight color and the lavender in my crease.

Maybelline EyeStudio eyeshadow in "Caffeine Rush"
I used the golden sand color on my lid.

Avon Glimmersticks Diamonds eyeliner in "Sugar Plum"

October: What I've Been Up To :)

Hi everyone :) October went by so fast!  Nothing super interesting has happened; all I've been doing is studying for midterms and working.  I have one October favorite and a few NOTDs to share with you :)
Let's start with my October favorite: "Fresh Picked Raspberries" hand cream from Bath and Body Works!!
This cream smells beyond amazing! One of my friends gave it to me for my birthday, but I haven't started using it until recently since I wanted to finish up some other hand creams first.  I was so thrilled when I finally dug it out of my collection and started using it!  It smells exactly like the name says: super sweet yummy raspberries!  Unfortunately it was a seasonal item and cannot be purchased at the moment.  Hopefully it will be back it stock this summer!
Now on to my NOTDs:
Essie's "Aruba Blue" with Sephora by OPI's "Sparktacular" topcoat

"Metallic Blue" and "Metallic Navy" from the Metallic collectiopn by Kleancolor

"Macchiato" by Nina Ulta Pro. I'm in love with coffee colors for fall!! :)

This grey-green color from Suzy Shier didn't have a name. I purchased it on impulse at the check-out. It's a glitter color with sheer buildable color. I used three coats to get this intensity :)

"High Maintenance" by China Glaze. What a fitting name ;)

I hope you all had a great October!! Thanks for reading! xo
