Makeup Swap with Cherry!!! :)

Hi loves! I did a makeup swap with Cherry! Check out her blog here. She is really fabulous!!

We agreed on a $50.00 budget (plus shipping). We included drug store items to maximize the number of items we could purchase!!  Cherry and I are both Canadians, but we are from different provinces so we each had access to stores which the other does not.  Plus, since we are in the same country, the postage wasn't too pricy!!

We decided not to give eachother a wishlist and instead just guess what the other person would like by reading through their blog. This made the swap extra exciting because we would each receive surprises!!

Anyways enough rambling, here are the awesome surprise products Cherry chose for me!! :)

She wrapped the products in tissue paper and then in newspaper, to make sure nothing would get damaged.

Every item had a personalized post-it note taped to it describing what the product was, how to use it and why she chose it for me. How sweet!! :)

London Look Makeup Palette Volume II: Bronze - This lovely palette has three neutral eyeshadows, three lipglosses and a blush.

Wet n Wild Eyeshadow trio "Walking on Eggshells" - I heard so many great things about this palette! I'm glad Cherry picked it for me :)

Rimmel Moisture Renew Creme Gloss in "Fuchsia Therapy" - A pretty bright pink gloss! :) I'm excited to try this!!

Bath & Body Works "Peach Sparkle" Body Lotion - I love Bath & Body Works!! :) I never heard of this scent before though! It's really lovely!!!! Perfect for summer!

NYC Smooch Proof 16H LipStain in "Champagne Stain" - I have a few lipstains and I do enjoy them, so I'm excited to try this!

Fran Wilson "Mood Matcher" lipstick - This is amazing!! It looks green but when applied to your skin it immediately turns into a bright pink!! I used to be obsessed with mood rings when I was 10, so this brings back memories :)

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in "Peach Parfait" - I have one of these and I like it! I'm glad Cherry got me a second one!

Hard Candy Fox in a Box Blush in "Sweet and Spicy" - Cherry said this box is a lot like the Benefit boxed blushes.  How cute!

Revlon Highlighting Stick in "Golden" - I love highlights! I've never heard of a highlighting stick before, but this looks fun!

Maybelline Volum'Express the Falsies Mascara in "Brownish Black" - I've tried this mascara before and it's a great one!!

NYC Long Wearing Nail Enamel in "Purple Pizazz" - Cherry knows I LOVE nail polish!

NYC Long Wearing Nail Enamel in "Times Square Tangerine" - What a great summer color!

Thank you again Cherry for doing this swap with me!!! x

I'd love to do more swaps!! If anyone is interested, please let me know in the comments :)

NOTD: Quick and Easy Color Duo!

Hi loves! When I'm in a hurry and don't have time for a complicated nail design, I love wearing a color duo.  It looks like some effort was invested into your manicure instead of simply throwing on a color, yet it still super quick to do! :)

Polishes used (from left to right):
-China Glaze Nail Laquer in "Swing Baby"
-Finger Paints Nail Color in "Strike a Pose Rose"
-Sally Hansen Nailgrowth Miracle Nail Color in "Clear"

A combination of any colors will look great.  There are endless possibilities! Personally, I like wearing a metallic color with a bright color.

NOTD: Beautiful Color Combo for Summer!!

Hi loves! I recently bought two nail polishes from the Finger Paints "Summer In The City" Summer Collection.  I purchased them online so I could not tell exactly how pretty they were, but when I received them I was VERY pleased! The polishes I bought are "Beach Bound": a muted purple, and "Movie In The Park": a beautiful purple and blue glitter topcoat. These colors make a great summer combo!

From left to right:
-Finger Paints Nail Color in "Beach Bound"
-Finger Paints Nail Color in "Movie In The Park"
-Essie Top Coat in "Good To Go"

"Movie In The Park" is amazing.  Only one coat is necessary to completely saturate your nails in glitter.  It shines beautifully in the sun!

I definitely recommend these polishes if they aren't already in your collection! Thank you for reading! xo

Colorful Smokey Eye: The BodyShop Shimmer Cubes!!

Hi lovelies!! I had a gift card for The BodyShop laying around in my wallet and decided to finally use it! Since I already have a HOARD of bath products/creams & lotions, I decided to purchase some makeup.  The shimmer cubes caught my eye!! I purchached the 07 palette.

Colors from top left, clockwise: "Ruby", "Dusted Silver", "Argyle Pink" and "Rich Bronze"

They are so pretty!! :)

I used the "Ruby" and "Argyle Pink" shades for this smokey look:

The look is subtle from far away, so these shadows are work appropriate!!

I was really impressed by the quality of these eyeshadows! And the little cubes are quite deep, they should last a fairly long time.

Have you tried The BodyShop's shimmer cubes? :)

Yves Rocher Sexy Pulp & Rimmel Vinyl Max Review!!

Hi loves!! I bought two new lipglosses a few weeks ago and really enjoyed them, so I thought I'd share my thought with you :)

First up is the Yves Rocher Sexy Pulp Volume Gloss in "Nude Rosé".  It was a tad pricey but completely worth it in my opinion!  This gloss retailed for $19.00 (CAN), but keep it mind it's from Yves Rocher and not a drugstore.  This gloss has a delicious fruity smell and high shine.  It doesn't leave your lips sticky, and takes quite a while to fade away.  I definitely recommend it!!

Next I tried out the Rimmel Vinyl Max One Stroke Maxi Shine Lipgloss in "Legend".  This gloss was only $10.99 (CAN).  The first thing I noticed about it was it's HUGE brush!  One stroke is enough to cover your bottom lip, and by rubbing your lips together you will have enough gloss without directly applying any on your top lip.  This gloss has a sweet cupcake smell, yet a minty taste.  How deliciously unusal!

Thank you so much for reading!! xo
