My Little Impulse Buy!!

Hello everyone!  A few days ago, I got to work a little early so I had time to pop in to the drugstore and look at the makeup.  Evidently I stopped in the nail polish aisle! I've heard many great things about the Essie LuxeEffects collection, so I decided to give it a try :)

Here are my nails painted with Sally Hansen's Maximum Growth Plus in "Tangerine Joy":

Then I added two coats of Essie's "Pure Pealfection":

I really like how this turned out!  Pure Pearlfection is perfect for bling-ing up your mani without going over the top with chunky glitters.  And it looked great in the sunlight :)

Ducks and Hearts

Hi everyone!  This was my first attempt at creating an image on my nails using nail polish (and not a sticker).  I'm pretty satisfied with how it turned out!!

I started with a blue base coat, then drew the hearts with a medium size dotting tool.  I drew a white shilouette of the ducks' bodies before before going over it in yellow, to ensure the yellow would be vibrant:

Once the yellow dried, I simply added gold wings, orange beaks and finally black dots for the eyes.

The look did take a relatively long time to dry because of the multiple coats used.  However I think it was worth the wait!!  Here are the nail polishes I used:

From left to right: Avon Nailwear Pro in "Lagoon", Orly French Tips in "White Tips", Sally Hansen Salon Effects in "Burnt Sienna", Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in "Mellow Yellow", LA Colors in "Circuits", Essie in "Meet me at Sunset", and Essie topcoat in "No Chips Ahead".

Simple Dots Nail Art

Hi everyone!!  I wanted to create a quick look using Valentine's day colors.  This look required very little time to paint, but relatively long drying time since the base color I used was very sheer. I had to use three coats to obtain the opacity I desired!!  Hope you enjoy it :)

I used a dotting tool to make the dots and a "nail tatoo" for the cherries on my ring finger.  Here is a list of the products I used:

From top left: Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in "Right Said Red", Nicole by OPI in "Fall for Nicole", LA Colours in "Circuits", Sally Hansen Miracle Growth in "Clear", and Nail Accessory Nail Tatoos (I found them on ebay for really cheap!!)
